These MDT’s have included GP’s, practice nurses, Ministry of Social Development and sometimes the patient, who might be present for these discussions. Another critical way the technology is utilised is to link in with education sessions to further expand the team’s knowledge and link in with diabetes colleagues right across New Zealand. This kind of donation has allowed us to use technology to remove the rurality challenge for some of our patients.
