ReSport Charitable Trust enables more Northlanders the opportunity to play, through the repurposing of donated sports goods, while caring for the environment at the same time.

Established in 2023, ReSport Charitable Trust enables equitable access to sport, recreation, and play by breaking affordability barriers, empowering communities and reducing waste for a healthier, more inclusive society. ReSport works with local businesses and community to collect donations of new and gently used sports gear and equipment. The equipment is sorted, and then shared with people impacted by cost constraints throughout Northland. This helps to reduce the environmental impact of textile and sport gear waste while increasing participation in sport by providing equipment to whānau, schools, clubs, organisations and groups that may not otherwise be able to access it. In 2026 ReSport Charitable Trust launched the ReSport Charitable Trust Fund with Northland Community Foundation to create secure, sustainable long-term funding for the Trust. Donations to the Fund will be invested, with the interest each year being distributed to ReSport Charitable Trust as a grant.
Your gift to the ReSport Charitable Trust Fund will allow more Northlanders to get involved in sport, creating a healthier, more equitable Northland.
