Mountains to Sea Conservation Trust

The Mountains to Sea Conservation Trust Fund supports the work of the Mountains to Sea Trust in Northland. The trust was established in 2003 to empower and support communities to achieve marine and freshwater conservation through science-based experiential programmes, resources, projects and community engagement.

This Fund has committed bequests and will start delivering grants when the fund reaches $50k or receives the bequests.

You can help this Fund give out grants sooner by donating today.

Mountains to Sea Conservation Trust runs a variety of programmes and projects around Aotearoa. Each of these initiatives aims to connect people to their local waterway and inspire them to protect it.

Experiencing Marine Reserves (EMR) is a national programme of experiential learning about marine conservation run by Mountains to Sea Conservation Trust. The programme empowers communities by providing hands-on snorkel and paddle experiences in the ocean, estuaries, rivers and lakes.

Whitebait Connection is an action-based, environmental education programme for schools and communities, focussing on the health of our streams, rivers and wetlands.

The Mountains to Sea Conservation Trust fund supports the Trusts work in the long term, by providing income from the annual investment returns of the fund. By donating now, setting up a regular donation, or by leaving a gift in your will to the fund, you can help Mountains to Sea Conservation Trust to educate and inspire Northlanders to protect their local streams, rivers, lakes and ocean.
