The Kauri Club Fund supports talented young athletes in Northland, providing financial assistance to help them advance their sporting careers and personal development.
The Kauri Club was established in 2000 by Sport Northland following a generous donation from the family of the late Garry Frew, a renowned sports editor of the Northern Advocate, with the aim of nurturing and retaining homegrown sporting talent in Northland. The fund has awarded over $260,000 to promising athletes aged 16 to 20, assisting with expenses such as coaching, training, competition fees, and travel. In 2016, the fund was transferred to the Northland Community Foundation, ensuring its growth through investment and continued support for the region's emerging sportspeople.
Your gift to the Kauri Club Fund will allow more talented and dedicated young athletes to advance their sporting careers.
