Dargaville Hospital, located at 77 Awakino Road, provides a range of healthcare services to the Kaipara district. It's a 12-bed general ward hospital with additional services including a 4-bed post-natal maternity ward and community health services. The hospital also houses the Timatanga Hou detoxification unit. Dargaville Hospital has been providing health services to the Kaipara district since 1956. Dargaville Hospital is jointly owned by Health NZ (54%) and the Kaipara Community Health Trust (46%) and provides hospital level and community care to the people of Kaipara.
