Community Self-help fund

The Community Self-help fund supports community development projects across Northland.

The Community Self-help fund was established in 2009, to continue the philanthropic work of the Community Self-Help Trust following its dissolution.

The fund supports activities that:

1. Provide practical and theoretical education, research, training and encouragement for promoting peace.

2. Foster and promote through such education peaceful and non-violent methods of interaction between peoples of differing cultural background

3. Foster the resolution of conflict

4. Enable the study of peace and peaceful ways of life whether personal, national or international.

5. Support small-scale decentralised neighbourhood communities in educational, cultural, charitable, health, housing, economic development and environmental programmes or services.

Recipients of funds must demonstrate a willingness to help themselves.

Your donation will enable the fund to provide greater support to more projects across Northland, uniting communities and helping them to work together.

To make an even bigger impact, you could leave a gift in your will. To find out more about gifts in wills, or to find a lawyer see our partnered law firms using the buttons below.
