Northland Foundation is looking for a part-time Administration Accounts person to support the Manager. The role is 20 hours per week and provides flexible working from home opportunities.
Financial functions include:
- Accounts payable & receivable,
- Receipting of donations, Banking, Financial records and bank reconciliation, Petty cash,
- Payroll (MYOB experience), Liaison with accountant and key bank staff,
- Preparation of financial reports, budgets and cash flows,
- Undertake administrative duties to support the management of the relationship with the Northland District Health Board.
Administrative functions will include:
- Customer service, Process correspondence
- Manage database and contact lists, Maintaining records, filing systems and computer files
- Collate and post board papers, take and distribute minutes, provide reports for Board meetings and sub-committee meetings as necessary
- Provide project support to NF Manager as required
- Process Grant applications, Apply for funding where required
- Participation in related events of interest
- Support the administration of Facebook, website and newsletters
- Undertaking any other tasks/duties as may be reasonably required.
Communications and relationships include:
- Support the NF Manager to build strong relationships with key stakeholders,
- Work closely with other charitable trusts and community organisations
- Work to promote and build brand awareness of NF
- Work with The NF Manager to maintain networking opportunities with internal and external individuals/ organisations
- Ensure effective promotion of all NF programmes and projects.
- Achieve high and positive profile for NF with all activities.
Essential skills include:
- Administration and finance expertise and experience
- Sound experience with taking and dealing with money
- Computer literacy including experience using Microsoft Office suite including Excel, Word, Outlook, MYOB and or similar accounting software.
- Inland Revenue (especially PAYE & GST)
- Current New Zealand Drivers License
Desirable skills include:
- Not-for-profit sector or Trust experience or broad understanding of not-for-profit sector
- Understanding of Northland communities
- Working with diverse communities
- Evidence of on-going learning
The position is permanent, 20 hours per week, approximately $23-25 per hour. Preferably five hours for four days/or four hours per working day between the hours of 8.00am-4.30pm.
